Rememeber when you were 5 and art was simple. There was no pressure to create the next masterpiece.
There was no depth or composition to worry about.
You could pick up your #2 pencil and draw a lop-sided building with uneven windows then proceed to color outside your crooked litle lines. Then when you were done, there was praise aplenty.
"OH MY!! How wonderful!! I do believe you are the next Michael-Angelo!"
The "When I was 5... " series is my tribute to that time in all our lives, when we don’t acknowledge that kind of pressure.
It is a salute to those artists that have managed to maintain that frame of mind.
